Anthropic has just launched Claude Skills, turning the Claude model into a full‑blown office assistant. Think of it as customizable folders filled with instructions, scripts and resources that Claude automatically pulls in to tackle specific tasks.
Now the AI can autonomously create and edit Word docs, Excel spreadsheets with formulas, PowerPoint decks and even fillable PDFs. Users on Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plans can build their own Skill folders, share them across teams and hook them up via API.
Anthropic also rolled out a Microsoft 365 integration through an MCP connector. This means Claude can now search and analyze files in SharePoint and OneDrive, handle Outlook emails, mine insights from Teams chats and perform a unified search across the entire corporate ecosystem.
